What we Believe.

 

About Jesus We teach that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the Son of the Living God who died for our sins and rose from the dead and is Lord of all the universe and our lives.

 

About the Bible We teach that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the sufficient guide for our faith and living the Christian life.

 

About God We teach that there is only one God in three persons and He created the universe and all of life.

 

About Human Beings We teach that every person is created in the image of God and has value but that all have broken God’s law.

 

About Salvation We teach that salvation is by grace and accepted as a free gift from God by trusting in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, submitting ourselves to God’s way of living, telling of our faith, and by being baptized by immersion in water in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins and receiving the Holy Spirit.

 

About the Holy Spirit We teach that the Holy Spirit lives within our bodies and empowers us to live when we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Make Disciples Who Make Disciples

In response to the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-37), and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), we are a people committed to continually growing in our faith, reaching out to people who do not know God, and helping them to grow in their faith, so that they can reach out to others.

Up-In-Out Community

  • UP: We believe our first commitment is to God.  We reach UP to God through worship, prayer, and obedience.  We are committed to creating an atmosphere of response to God through biblical teaching and meaningful, relevant worship.
  • IN: As we grow closer to God, we naturally grow closer to one another.  We reach IN to our church community through authentic relationships, Growth Groups, and serving in the church.
  • OUT: God’s love extends beyond the walls of our church, so our love does too!  We reach OUT by serving the Lincolnway community, and partnering with events and organizations that serve the community’s needs.

Committed to the Next Generation

We are committed to investing in the Next Generation.  We have an incredible team of staff and volunteers dedicated to providing a safe, fun and engaging place to learn about Jesus, and connect to Him and others.

Living with Grace and Truth

If we are to live like Christ, we must commit to operating full of both grace and truth.  We will love one another enough to speak biblical truth in love, and show grace with our words and actions.

Fun!

We take God very seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.  We love to have fun together, and share the gifts of joy and laughter.

Humble enough to get better

We are dedicated to giving God our best.  That starts with understanding that we are not perfect, and have plenty of opportunities to love better, serve better, and do better.  We are committed to better offerings, rather than more.
