4.4 - A God who knows pain

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 4:14-16

Reflection:

One of the most remarkable truths about Christianity is that God didn’t stay distant from suffering. In Jesus, He stepped directly into it. He experienced rejection, betrayal, loneliness, injustice, physical pain, and death. That means when you pray through your own hurt, you’re not speaking to Someone who only understands suffering in theory. Jesus knows it personally. He understands what it feels like to be abandoned by friends. He knows what it’s like to be misunderstood. He knows grief. He knows tears. Because of that, you never suffer alone. His presence doesn’t erase your pain overnight, but it transforms your experience of it. The God you cry out to has scars. That changes everything. Today, instead of asking only for relief, ask Jesus to remind you of His presence. Sometimes the greatest comfort isn’t finding an explanation. It’s discovering that the One walking beside you has already walked this road Himself before you.

Application Question:
How does knowing that Jesus personally experienced suffering change the way you think about your own pain today?
