2.1 - More Than an Escape
Scripture Reading: Revelation 21:1-5
Reflection: When you think about heaven, what picture comes to mind? Many of us imagine leaving earth behind and finally escaping everything broken. Yet John's vision points in another direction. He doesn't see people leaving creation. He sees God making creation new. That changes everything. Your hope isn't built on abandoning the world but on God's promise to redeem it. The same God who created the world refuses to give up on it. He isn't finished with creation, and He isn't finished with you. Every broken place in your life whispers that restoration is impossible, but Revelation tells a different story. God specializes in making what has been damaged beautiful again. Today, remember that your future isn't defined by loss, failure, or decay. It is defined by the God who says, "I am making all things new." His promise gives you courage to keep trusting even when restoration still feels far away.
Application Question:
What broken area of your life have you quietly assumed God will simply abandon instead of redeem?
