4.1 - It’s ok to ask

Scripture Reading: Job 23:1-12

Reflection:

When life falls apart, your first instinct is usually to ask why. Job did the same. He wasn’t afraid to voice his confusion, his grief, or even his frustration with God. That’s encouraging because it reminds you that faith isn’t pretending everything is fine. Faith is bringing your honest heart to God, even when it’s full of questions. Job searched for God and couldn’t seem to find Him, yet he never stopped believing God knew exactly where he was. Sometimes your greatest act of faith isn’t having the right answer. It’s continuing the conversation. God is not intimidated by your doubts, your tears, or your difficult questions. He would rather hear your honest prayers than your polished ones. Today, don’t hide your hurt behind spiritual clichés. Bring it into God’s presence. You may not receive the explanation you’re hoping for, but you’ll discover the God who is big enough to carry every question you have.
