8.4 - Which direction are you moving?
Scripture Reading: Luke 15:11-24
Reflection: God takes your choices seriously. That can be beautiful and frightening. Love cannot be forced. You can pursue someone, sacrifice for them, plead with them, and keep the door open, but you cannot make them love you. God does not treat you like a puppet. He calls. He warns. He pursues. He gives. He goes all the way to the cross, but He allows you to respond. That means the direction of your life matters. Most people do not wake up and announce, “I am moving away from God.” It often happens through smaller choices: “I don’t need You here. I’ll handle this myself. I know what You said, but I want this instead.” Over time, those steps form a direction. So today, do not ask whether you believe in God. Pay attention to which way you are moving. Where are your choices taking you? Toward home, or farther away?
Application Question: Looking honestly at the choices you have been making lately, where are you moving toward God, and where might you slowly be moving away from Him?
