5.1 - Is God Still Speaking?
Scripture Reading: John 10:1-11
Reflection:
Sometimes it feels like God has gone quiet. You pray, wait, and wonder if anyone is listening. But before you conclude that God has stopped speaking, consider another possibility. What if He is speaking more often than you realize? Jesus describes Himself as a shepherd whose sheep know His voice. Notice that He doesn’t say His sheep never struggle or never get distracted. He simply says His voice is recognizable through relationship. Relationships are built over time, not in a single conversation. If you’ve ever recognized a friend’s voice in a crowded room, you know why. You have spent enough time with them that their voice stands out from the noise. God desires that same familiarity with you. Today, don’t begin by asking God to speak louder. Begin by asking Him to help you listen more carefully. His voice may already be closer than you think, patiently inviting you to follow wherever He leads.
Application Question:
What voices have become so familiar in your life that they make it difficult to recognize God’s voice?
