You are
not alone.

Life is hard.

It's even harder when you try to do it alone.
Allow us to walk with you during the storms.

The evidence is abundantly clear - HEROIN is affecting our community and our families.

It is common for families to suffer significant emotional trauma and stress while trying to help a loved one struggling with an addiction. The stress largely results from family members knowing little about this disease, its treatment, and the common difficulties they will face while helping a loved one recover.

It is for this reason, we host a Family Support Group that meets every Tuesday from 7 PM-8:30pm at the church.

Hero Family Support offers family members an opportunity to meet other people who share the same problem. Each meeting will offer support, understanding, encouragement, and hope to families who are struggling to help a family member addicted or recovering from an addition to an opiate-based drug. Each will begin with an educational session to help family members learn about the disease of addiction and helpful advice about ways they can help a family member to recover. Each session will also involve a discussion among the family members which will be led by a licensed counselor or group facilitators.

Through the process of mentoring, many marriages have been empowered, healed, transformed, and by the grace of God have been completely restored. We view marriage as a lifelong union/relationship between a man and a woman as husband and wife. We believe that the bedrock of the family begins with the relationship between the husband and the wife. When the marriage relationship is healthy, the family is healthy. We believe that all people can change and most marriages can thrive when they apply healthy principles and faithfully use practical tools.
