3.4 - A Clean Conscience

Scripture Reading: Psalm 32:1-7

Reflection:
There is a difference between being forgiven and feeling forgiven. Many people believe God has forgiven them while quietly carrying years of guilt and shame. They replay conversations, relive failures, and wonder if those moments will always define them. Hebrews offers remarkable hope. Jesus didn’t only cleanse your record. He cleansed your conscience. That doesn’t mean you’ll forget every painful memory. It means those memories no longer have the authority to define your identity. Your worst day is no longer the truest thing about you. The truest thing about you is what Jesus accomplished on His best day. The enemy wants your past to become your identity. Jesus invites you to receive a new one. Today, when guilt begins whispering old accusations, answer it with the cross. You are not pretending your sin never happened. You are declaring that Christ has already dealt with it completely through His sacrifice forever.

Application Question:
What past failure continues to shape the way you see yourself, and what would it look like to believe Jesus has already spoken a better word over it?
